Vi avverto, è un post chilometrico!
Sono stata impegnatissima questa settimana e quella precedente pure, di conseguenza ho dovuto trascurare il mio blog. Avevo del lavoro da consegnare, sempre in ritardo, ma ormai questa non è una grossa novità.
Ho anche cominciato la dieta per l'ennesima volta ma questa volta abbinata ad un'attività sportiva...ehem, "sportiva" forse è una parola un po' troppo grossa. Insomma faccio una passeggiata di 45 minuti ogni mattina. Il cosiddetto 'power walking' che nel mio caso è più 'will power walking' che altro. Insomma non tanto una camminata vigorosa, fatta con forza ma solo con 'forza di volontà'. Lo odio! Odio tutto quello che abbia un sentore anche vagamente salutistico, yuck! Ecco perchè sono ridotta così. E pensare che in gioventù facevo prima ginnastica artistica, poi danza moderna, poi pallavolo e poi anche da adulta andavo in palestra, facevo ginnastica e per qualche anno balli di gruppo. Adesso sono diventata proprio sedentaria.
Poi è arrivato un vagone di prodotti nuovi per lo shop, quindi mezza giornata è andata solo a smistare ed a controllare il tutto. Entro questo fine settimana dovreste trovare le novità sul sito!! Da leccarsi i baffi!!!!!!
Insomma ho avuto da fare.
Adesso arrivo all'oggetto del post: il mini album ME che ho fatto per le Olimpiadi di SBI. Come ho detto sono stata così impegnata che non avevo avuto tempo di andare nemmeno a leggere la traccia e i commenti sul argomento, tant'è che non sapevo che la scadenza era stata spostata a stasera, quindi ieri sono stata tutto il giorno a fare l'album e l'ho caricato sul fino di lana, pensavo io, a mezzanotte ed un quarto e poi ho scoperto che avrei avuto altre 24 ore. Ma ormai era andato, e a dire il vero, non avrei cambiato nulla. Mi piace così :) Ringrazio Roberta per queste sfide bellissime e stimolanti. Andate a vedere sulla Gallery di SBI che capolavori sono usciti fuori.
La sfida consisteva di fare un mini album su di noi, praticamente un 'book fotografico', che racconti di noi come donne. Non avrei avuto foto da fotomodella neanche a pagare oro, quindi questa è la mia interpretazione di che donna sono:)

I've been very busy these past 2 weeks so I have been neglecting my blog. I had episodes to translate and I was late, as usual. I've also started a diet AGAIN, but this time combined with some physical activity: power walking. In my case it's entirely WILL POWER walking since I hate any kind of physical activity! Especially walking! And to think that when I was in school I started with gymnastics, switched to modern dance, then volleyball and even as an adult I've done some working out, and for a couple of years 'group dance'.
I also received a wagon load of new products for the shop to keep me busy! Half a day went just for checking out the stuff. Yummy stuff which you'll see in the shop this week end.
So I've been really busy.
Now to the subject of this post: the ME mini album for the scrapbooking olympics at SBI. I hadn't even had time to check the actual post at the MB so I didn't know that the dead line had been moved up a day so I spent all day yesterday doing my album and had it done and uploaded in the gallery just about in time (midnight) just to discover that I still could have worked on it for another day. But I wouldn't have changed anything anyway. I love how it turned out :) Thank you Roberta for providing us with these wonderful and stimulating challenges. The challenge was to create a mini album on us, actually "a photographic/model book" which tells about us as women. Since I couldn't have found photos of me as a model even if I tried, this is my interpretation of what kind of a woman I am :)
Premetto che le foto fanno un po' pietà. Questa per esempio è molto più celeste IRL. L'album misura 10x15 (le copertine un po' di più), le carte e tutti gli abbellimenti sono della bellissima e nuovissima linea "Blue Hill" di Crate Papers (che saranno allo shop), il tutto è sporcato con Fluid Chalks, ho aggiunto le frasi sulle foto con Photoshop e le ho stampate con il mio regalo di Natale: la mini printer Canon PIXMA 260, le ho timbrate con i clear stamp di Autumn Leaves ed abbellimi con degli strass termoadesivi. Il journaling l'ho scritto su carta da quaderno.
The photos of the album are not very good, for example the cover is IRL more light blue than this greenish hue. The album measures 10 x 15cm, the covers are a little bit wider. All the patterned papers and the embellies are from the beautiful new collection "Blue Hill" of Crate Papers (shortly on the shop), I distressed the edges and the photos with Fluid Chalk, I added quotes directly on the photos with Photoshop, printed them with my Christmas present: Canon PIXMA 260 mini printer, used Autumn Leaves clear stamps and tiny thermoadhesive rhine stones on them. The journaling is written on a notebook paper.
Finalmente! Litigo ogni volta con Typepad per caricare le foto. Non sono ancora riuscita a domarlo quindi fa quello che gli pare. Sono da sempre convinta che i pc hanno una vita propria e di conseguenza anche i server, i browser, i blog ecc quindi mi prendono gli scompensi quando devo caricare le foto, e dopo, una volta riuscita a caricarle, (se non sono allineate, non è colpa mia!) se vado ad aggiungere il testo in mezzo, mi risballa tutto.
Adesso scrivo il journaling qui sotto e anche la traduzione delle frasi sulle foto. Ho scelto di fare il journaling in seconda persona, come se fossi io a parlare a me stessa??!! Non so se è chiaro.

Finally I got the pictures uploaded! Typepad always puts up a fight with me. I have not yet been able to tame it. Side note: I've always been convinced that pcs have a proper life, thus also the servers, the browsers, the blogs etc. so I'm really struggling every time I have to upload the pictures (and if they are not aligned, it's not MY fault!) Now if I should add some text in between, it messes up everything. So I will write the journaling down here. I've written in the second person, as if it were me talking to myself. I don't know if that makes any sense?'!!
