Anja's Poster challenge was next. She has a whole section of gig posters on Pininterest and I chose this one as my inspiration:
and made the following layout of Kristina and Matteo.
Then Vicki Boutin's sketch challenge.

Here's my take on it:
I made a very simple background because I wanted all the attention to go the eyes and the catchlights.
For Lisa's Creative Labels challenge we were given some inspirational photos and were asked to use labels/tags on our layout.
I used a cut tag, a journaling spot and a real label on the journaling spot. The photo was taken in Athens last April.
Kim's Repurposed Challenge was fun. She challenged us to come up with new creative ways to use up scrapbooking waste.
For the flower I used the acrylic packaging of some of Tim Holtz's embellies. I inked book pages with Distress Inks, glued the page to the underside of the packaging, passed it through Cuttlebug with Tim's Alternation Die "Tattered Flower" and assembled the flower using a pencil to curl the petals. In the center I glued a Prima vintage button.
I also used a piece of Prima packaging on the left side of the page.
I created the pink splashes and the darker brown ones on the page melting crayons. Learned that trick from Mou Saha at Pacs Paris a year ago;)
The photo is of Kristina's 8th birthday. I had ordered a huge cake for 25 people and then Kristina contracted rosolia (rubella, German measles) 2 days before her birthday. Had to cancel the party but the cake was already ordered so we had it made, took some pictures and ate the cake for a WEEK!
