A perfect day started out by taking a stroll through the olive groves, renting a car, taking a quick trip to nearby Vrisses for a drink, to Nippos for lunch, to nearby Aptera to admire the view and the ancient fort,going back home and to the beach to enjoy a couple of hours of sun and to admire a lovely sunset.
The oleanders are everywhere
There are more than 30 million olive trees in Crete
There are not so many colorful plants and flowers other than bougainvillea, oleander and hibiscus
