Yes, I'm taking another online class. This is Shimelle's Something from Almost Nothing class where the purpose is to use a lot of items from your existing stash and NOT buy new ones.
For now we have used metal embellies, ribbon, scraps of patterned paper and cardstock. Shimelle is doing an album with the theme Celebrate Life but I decided to create layouts with the same theme: practically layouts with photos that bring me joy and happiness using up the ever growing stash of scrapbooking goodies.
Here's my first layout using up some scraps of patterned paper. Actually they are all from the same paper. I had a College Press die cut sheet and I used that as a template and cut up the Sassafras Lass paper, which for the life of me I couldn't use as such, getting a bunch of pretty diecuts. I matted them all on black cardstock (scrap pieces) and mounted them as a border to my photo in my layout. The ribbon I attached with Tim Holtz's Tiny Attatcher is old as is the background patterned paper from Basic Grey Phoebe collection. The only thing new (bought 2 months ago) are the American Craft vinyl stickers that I used for the title. Oh, also the buttons are old, so I used quite a bit of my existing stash for this layout featuring my husband and our son.
