and here is a detail of the grungepaper roses. I made a bunch of those when I did Tim's 12 tags. I've done some out of patterned paper too and they are nice, but to tell you the truth, grungepaper is grungepaper. It's so flexible, it's just perfect. Gotta say I love 'em roses. So sophisticated :)
ScrapZimutDays was a fantastic experience, everything I had hoped for and much more thanks to Valérie and her ScrapZimut girls. A weekend full of fun, great classes, good food, lovely company and the chance to use my dormant French. The icing on the cake was to be able to share all this with my friend Elina.

Vi faccio vedere al volo un paio di lavori "vecchi". Li ho finiti tempo fa ma per un motivo o l'altro, non li avevo ancora postati. I primi due risalgono ad ottobre quando Scrap4all ha fatto un weekend scrapposo con Michelle Van Etten. La tela coi Tattered Angels glimmer mist e Prima paintables (li trovate allo shop) l'ho addirittura finita durante il corso. Mi è piaciuto moltissimo farla e ho trovato veramente rilassante pitturare e "liberare l'artista che c'è in me" - per modo di dire, lol.
I'll show you a couple of older projects that for some reason or other I have never posted before. The first two are from as far as October when Scrap4all organized a scrapbooking weekend with Michelle Van Etten. I actually finished the canvas with Tattered Angels' Glimmer Mist and Prima paintables (we have them at the shop) during the class. I loved the project, I found it very relaxing to paint and to "free my inner artist" so to speak *wink*.
Mi scuso per la foto, non rende. Non so perchè ma sembra che non riesca a fare una foto decente di questo lavoro. Abbiamo usato i Glimmer mist sia come acquerelli sia spruzzandoli direttamente sulla tela, abbiamo ritagliato i Paintable dopo averli pitturati, e come tocco finale abbiamo usato gli Stickles di Ranger. (disponibili allo shop)
The canvas is prettier IRL, the photo does not really do her justice. For some reason I just seem to be unable to take a decent photo of this project. Anyway we used Glimmer mist as water color and as spray, we cropped the Paintables after having painted on them and for the final touch we used Ranger Stickles (also available at the shop).
Ecco il mio "bambino" - ha compiuto 11 anni due settimane fa. (la foto è di un paio d'anni fa). Le carte sono di KaiserCraft ed anche qui sono stati usati i Glimmer Mist e anche il Glossy Accents.
Here is my "baby" - he turned 11 two weeks ago! (the photo is from a couple of years back). The papers are from KaiserCraft. We used here too the Glimmer Mists and also Glossy Accents.

A novembre ho partecipato al corso online Stories In Hand di Jessica Sprague. Un corso bellissimo (e per di più gratuito!) dove abbiamo costruito un album seguendo le istruzioni di Jessica e stampando i file che ci metteva a disposizione. Il progetto è bellissimo: in poche parole con l'aiuto di centinaia di indicazioni e suggerimenti forniti da Jessica dovremmo trovare centinaia di storie e ricordi "seppelliti" nella nostra memoria. Ammetto che all'inizio ero un po' titubante per non dire scettica a riguardo ma mi sono ricreduta alla grande. Ho annotato già decine di storie sia della mia infanzia che di quella dei miei figli (più che altro delle figlie perchè i ricordi sulla vita di Andrea sono molto più recenti) che sono pronte per essere scritte e/o scrappate per la gioia dei miei cari per gli anni a venire.
In November I participated in Jessica Sprague's fabulous (and FREE!) on-line class Stories In Hand. We made an album following Jessica's instructions and the hand-outs she had made for us to print. The project is stunning: in a nutshell we have to probe our mind and with the help of hundreds of prompts Jessica has prepared for us unearth stories which are buried in our memory. I have to admit that at first I was a little hesitant, almost skeptical, but I completely changed my mind during the class. I have already jotted down tens of stories of my childhood as well as that of my children (referred mostly to the girls because my memories of Andrea's childhood are so much more recent) and now they are there in my SIH (Stories In Hand) album waiting to be "properly" written down and/or scrapped for my family for years to come.

Per l'ultimo i 2 layout fatti con il kit di dicembre di Scrap4all, Magic Christmas di Little Yellow Bicycle, una ditta che ho scoperto agosto scorso quando sono andata al CKU dove abbiamo fatto un minialbum di Halloween strepitoso. Ho parlato lì con la responsabile di LYB ed appena tornata a casa abbiamo ordinato per lo shop la linea Halloween e La Vita Bella che sono andati a ruba. Fortunatamente abbiamo ancora qualche carta per quelle di voi che amano LYB.
Last but not least I'll post two layouts created with the Scrap4all's December kit, Magic Christmas, the super beautiful line from Little Yellow Bicycle, a company I discovered last August at CKU where we made a fantastic clear minialbum with LYB's Halloween line. As soos as I came back home, Scrap4all ordered for the shop the Halloween and La Vita Bella lines which were flying off of the shelves as soon as they arrived. Fortunately there are still some papers left for those of you who love LYB.

The photos are from 2007, the last Christmas when Andrea still believed, with some doubts in his mind though, in Santa Claus. In one of the photos Andrea holds the letter written by Santa Claus and sent to him from Rovaniemi, Lapland, Santa Claus's home town, and then there's Santa Claus's present for Andrea which arrived with the help of Mom and Dad.

Ho finito anche le canvas di Donna Downey. Che meraviglia! Sono proprio contenta di questo corso: ho imparato un sacco di tecniche nuove e poi Donna ha la capacità di farti sentire a tuo agio e di avere fiducia in te stessa. Dopo i suoi corsi sono sempre piena di energie e voglia di creare.
I've finished also the canvases we started at Donna Downey's class. They are fabulous! I'm very happy to have learned new techniques and Donna has the ability to make you feel at home and to boost your self-esteem. After her classes I'm always full of energy and desire to create. Love ya, Donna!
I filtri da caffè americano sono stati usati appunto dagli americani già anni fa
per fare dei mini album, ma non hanno mai preso piede in Italia. Forse perchè usiamo poco i filtri da caffè:) Avevo da tempo una confezione di filtri e volevo utilizzarli. Detto e fatto: questo mini album l'ho fatto per il corso del 15 marzo tenuto da Scrap4all a Roma. Devo confessare che ero un po' in agitazione perchè era la prima volta che insegnavo in un corso. Tutto è andato benissimo, il progetto ha riscosso successo e sia la "maestra" che le alunne sono rimaste contente:)
Coffee filters have been used for making mini albums in America years ago but they have never been popular in Italy. Perhaps because we don't drink "caffè lungo" or "caffè americano" and thus we don't use coffee filters. I had a package of these filters and wanted to use them. I created this mini album for the workshop that Scrap4all had on March 15 in Rome. I have to confess that I was a little nervous because it was the first time I ever taught a workshop. Everything went just fine, the students were happy with the project and the "teacher" was happy because the students loved the project.
Come materiale ho usato, oltre ai filtri, dei cartoncini per le copertine e per fare delle tag, delle carte di Rouge de Garance, Distress Ink di Ranger, clear stamps di Autumn Leaves, di Stamperia e di Fancy Pants, nastri, fiori e qualche altro abbellimento. Sulla copertina ho messo una gerbera grande con un bottone e filo o nastro Pirkka (che tra l'altro è di origine finlandese, e che io mi sono procurata dalla mia amica Federica!)attorcigliato infilato nei buchi del bottone.
Nella taschina creata all'interno della copertina ho messo tre tags con delle frasi sulla famiglia. Sono tutti dei rub-ons di Three Bugs in a Rug. Il fiore l'ho fatto tagliando un cerchio a mano libero, distressandolo ed attaccandoci un fiore tagliato con la Big Shot ed un bottone.
Le tags sono fatte dallo stesso cartoncino delle copertine, timbrate, distressate e decorate.
Qui ho usato un foglio di acetato timbrato con lo Staz-On nero.
Ho timbrato la libellula della Stamperia su un ritaglio di carta verde di Rouge, ho incollato tutto il ritaglio sulla carta nera e ho tagliato la libellula una sola volta (ho anche tralasciato la coda che non mi piaceva:)
C'è un'altra tag con degli abbellimenti e sull'ultima pagina ho messo una foto di tutta la famiglia:)
There are tags with rub-on phrases about the family (Three Bugs in a Rug) that slide into the pocket created inside the inner cover. I used a sheet of acetate with Staz-on and the Fancy Pants acrylic stamps, I stamped the image of the dragonfly (Stamperia stamp) on a left-over scrap paper, I glued the whole piece onto a black paper to make it sturdier and this way I had to cut the dragonfly only once (I also took out the tail which I didn't like, LOL). There are two tags as mini pages with photos and some tiny embellishments. On the last page I put a nice family portrait:)

"Jolie Chocolat". La scatola era una scatola di cioccolatini che ho alterato
per custodire un minialbum a cuore di cui non ricordo la marca, ma che era perfetta.
Vorrei anche chiedervi un'opinione: la grandezza di questo font vi piace o è meglio quello più grande dei post precedenti? Non riesco a trovare una via di mezzo. Aiutatemi a decidere!
I had promised to show you another project I made with the "Jolie Chocolat" collection. I had an old box of chocolates which I altered to hold the heart shaped mini album of which I can't remember the manufacturer. But it was perfect!
I wanted to ask you something: do you like the size of this font or is the font I've used for the previous posts better. I can't find a size in between these two. Help me decide!
Dopo la cassettiera d'Ikea che ho alterato per contenere tutte le mie lettere chipboard 
e dopo aver alterato le lettere LOVE di Adornit
ho alterato anche il lunchpail di BG. Per il momento lo utilizzo per conservare le mie card. Poi se mi va, finisco di scrappare i divisori che ci sono dentro il lunchpail. Le carte e i bottoni sono della collezione Infuse di Basic Grey, i fiori di Prima, gli strass di Adornit e i nastri sono semplici nastri di raso in tinta unita. "Addicted to Altered". After having altered the drawer units (from Ikea) where I keep all my chipboard letters, and the L-O-V-E letters from Adornit I also altered the Basic Grey lunchpail. For now I keep my cards in there. Maybe later on I will scrap also the dividers inside. The papers and buttons are from the Infuse collection, the flowers are Prima, the strass from Adornit and the ribbons are just plain satin ribbons.
